Join us at HOME in Manchester for three days of workshops, panel discussions and practical advice. The final stop of our Festival of Journalism tour will allow you to develop your skills and make connections.

We’d love to see you for three days, but you’re welcome to join us for a single day or just a session — we know that deadlines won’t wait. Every day will finish with a social, so you can continue discussions with your peers.

  • 5pm: The Art of the interview with Simon Hattenstone

THURSDAY 1 DECEMBER

  • 12pm: Surviving and thriving as a freelancer
  • 1pm:Masterclass: Google Tools for journalists 
  • 2pm: Freelance skills: Build the perfect pitch
  • 3pm: Media law update from McNae’s co-author Sian Harrison
  • 4pm: Music journalism in 2022 and beyond – panel discussion
